Abstract:
The present invention is a negative electrode active material containing negative electrode active material particles, the negative electrode active material being characterized in that: the negative electrode active material particles contain silicon oxide particles coated by a carbon layer; at least some of the silicon oxide particles contain at least one selected from the group consisting of Li2SiO3, Li4SiO4, and Li6Si2O7; and at least a portion of the outermost layers of the negative electrode active material particles is covered by a plasticizer layer. As a result thereof, the present invention can provide: a negative electrode active material that can increase stability during slurry formation while maintaining sufficient battery cycle characteristics; and a negative electrode containing this negative electrode active material.
