Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a magnetic material, the method having: a surface oxide reduction step for reducing the amount of surface oxides of an iron powder; a molded powder body formation step for mixing the powder in which the surface oxide has been reduced, which was obtained in the surface oxide reduction step, with a compound powder A comprising elemental La and elemental Si, and pressure-molding the mixed powder; and a sintered compact formation step for producing a sintered body from the molded powder body obtained in the molded powder body formation step, using a solid-phase reaction in a vacuum atmosphere.
