Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALUMINUM ALLOY IN WHICH Al-Fe-Si-BASED COMPOUND AND PRIMARY CRYSTAL Si ARE FINELY DIVIDED
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/054716
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an inexpensive aluminum alloy, in which it is possible to finely crystallize an Al-Fe-Si-based compound and primary crystal Si by using a simple means. An molten aluminum alloy contains 10 to 20 mass % of Si, 0.5 to 4 mass % of Fe and 0.003 to 0.02 mass % of P, further contains at least one of Mn, Ni and Cr if necessary, and further contains at least one of Mg, Ti, Cr, Zr and V if necessary, with the remainder comprising Al and unavoidable impurities, and to the molten aluminum alloy is added 0.01 to 1 mass %, in terms of silicide, of a substance that contains a finely divided metal silicide, which is present as a solid phase in the molten metal, when the Al-Fe-Si-based compound is crystallized. The substance that contains a finely divided metal silicide, which is added to the molten aluminum alloy, is preferably a powder of a metal silicide per se or a master alloy.
