Abstract:
A punch (11) and a die (12) each having a cross-sectional shape approximately corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of a metal columnar particle are provided. A material (13) of interest, which has a metal layer having a thickness approximately corresponding to the length-direction length of the metal columnar particle, is punched using the punch (11) and the die (12). In this manner, the shapes and sizes of many metal particles and the fluctuations in the shape and size of the metal particles are controlled, whereby a metal powder can be produced.
