Abstract:
Disclosed is a mono-azo dichroic dye compound expressed by chemical formula (1) below. In chemical formula (1), Z is any one selected from the group consisting of CN, COOR 11, indanone and 1,3-dioxoindane, wherein R 11 is any one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an aryl group and a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group. A mono-azo dichroic dye compound of the present invention, which is a mono-azo compound, exhibits excellent dichroicity as well as excellent heat resistance and light resistance and thus can be utilized for a dye-based polarizing plate.
