Abstract:
A mono-azo dichroic dye compound represented by the following chemical formula 1 is disclosed. In chemical formula 1, R3 is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 heterocyclic group. The mono-azo dichroic dye compound of the present invention, which is a mono-azo compound, has good dichroism and excellent heat resistance and light resistance, and thus can be effectively used for a dye-based polarizing plate.
