Abstract:
This movement amount estimation device (1) comprises: a storage unit (12) which stores a past image; a feature amount extraction unit (111) which uses a prescribed feature amount extraction algorithm and matches the past image and the current image captured by a camera device (50) at a new arrangement position; and a movement amount estimation unit (112) which selects the prescribed number of feature points from among a plurality of matching feature points and calculates a homographic matrix, calculates error distances between feature points and calculates the total sum of the error distances with respect to each of feature points other than the prescribed number of feature points, and adopts the homographic matrix of the minimum value among the calculated total sums to estimate a movement amount of the camera device (50) at the new arrangement position.
