Abstract:
Provided is an optical device that enables high-accuracy aligning without causing an increase in manufacturing cost and a reduction in radiation characteristic. This optical device comprises: a substrate; a first sub-substrate that has a first mounting surface and a second mounting surface connected to the first mounting surface via a first step, and is mounted on the substrate; a first light emitting element that is mounted on the first mounting surface, and emits first light having a first wavelength; and an optical element that is mounted on the second mounting surface. By being positioned by the first step, the first light emitting element is disposed so as to be optically connected to the optical element.
