Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to securely fix an optical fiber cable having a non-metal tension member within a closure without damaging the tension member and a core wire. This optical fiber cable gripping device comprises: thin plate sections that are for gripping the outer circumference of an optical fiber cable and in which a rectangular thin plate is bent in an approximately circular shape with respect to the lengthwise direction; a fastening mechanism fixed to one end of the thin plate sections and serving to fasten together the thin plate sections surrounding the optical fiber cable; protrusion insertion holes provided to the other ends of the thin plate sections surrounding the optical fiber cable; and a band diameter adjustment tool fixed with the fastening mechanism and provided with a protrusion which can be fitted together with the protrusion insertion holes, said band diameter adjustment tool making it possible to adjust the diameter of the approximately circular shape by changing the position of the protrusion insertion hole that is fitted together with the protrusion.
