Abstract:
An extractable endocardial tip (15) for an electrode of an eletrical stimulator has a lead body with a front end for positioning the electrode within a desired area and a back end for connecting to an electrical source. At least one fin (33) protrudes from the lead body, the fin having a posterior receding edge (37) that is serrated to from a cutting surface, such that when the electrode is pulled, the edge cuts through any fibrous scar tissue surrounding the electrode to facilitate withdrawal from the heart.
