Title:
PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT WITH RETICULATED CRYSTALLINE MICROSTRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002083103
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
A pharmaceutical product comprising at least one therapeutic agent in crystalline form, said pharmaceutical product comprising at least one reticulated three-dimensional microstructure comprising: a network of substantially interconnecting walls, said walls being provided by a multiplicity of crystals arranged to at least partially abut each other; and a multiplicity of pores defined by said substantially interconnecting walls; wherein said therapeutic agent is characterised as having an aqueous solubility of not greater than about 1 in 30 to 1 in 100, weight/volume, when measured at a temperature in the range of 15 to 25 DEG C.
