Abstract:
The problem is to provide a letter name label helpful to identify a pitch name and to understand the displacement of a tone and a chord. Means for solving the problem is a label stuck to the key surface, fret surface, or fingerboard of an instrument, a sheet of music, and a chord chart. To each of the twelve tones from tone A to tone G sharp, one of twelve kanji characters, illustrations or pictures representing respectively “ground, road, mountain, tree, fruit, river, rock, sea, island, sky, moon, and star” is assigned in this order. The invention can be applied to instruments, sheets of music, and chord charts, or things realized by a computer. As far as computers are concerned, the labels are displayed and outputted. Sheets of music and chord charts include those on which labels are printed.
