Abstract:
The present invention realizes low-luminance video rendering using an ordinary light source, and not using special hardware. This planetarium system comprises a plurality of light sources that are arranged inside a dome, a control unit that controls emission of light from the plurality of light sources, and a storage unit in which a video for projection to the inside of the dome is stored. The control unit: analyzes the video read out from the storage unit for projection to the inside of the dome; corrects video rendering (100A, 120A, 150A) that requires luminance lower than the lowest luminance (112) of each of the light sources, on the basis of the video for projection to the inside of the dome including the video rendering (100A, 120A, 150A), so that luminance higher than or equal to the lowest luminance (112) of the light sources is used; and projects a video including corrected video rendering (100B, 120B, 150B) to the inside of the dome.
