Abstract:

The invention relates to a point modulator (1) comprising a PLL circuit (2). A programmable frequency distributor (7) is arranged in the feedback branch of the PLL circuit (2), the control connection thereof being connected to a circuit branch in order to inject a digital modulation signal (15). The circuit branch contains a Sigma-Delta-Modulator (9), comprising a digital filter (24) with a transfer function H(z). The noise transfer function NTF(z) of the Sigma-Delta-Modulators (9) is produced by means of the function NTF(z) = 1 - H(z).
