Abstract:
A polarizing film provided with a polarizer and an adhesive layer that is adjacent to the polarizer or an optical film other than the polarizer, the polarizing film being characterized in that: the adhesive layer is formed from a cured layer of an adhesive composition; the adhesive composition contains at least 25 parts by weight of a monomer component having two or more polymerizable functional groups, with 100 parts by weight being the total amount of monomer components; and after a humidification durability test of 1000 hours of exposure in an environment of 65°C and 95% humidity, no bright spots derived from foreign materials are present more than 3 mm from the end face of the polarizing film. The polarizer preferably contains a metal component, particularly zinc, capable of becoming a divalent metal cation in water.
