Title:
POLYCARBONATE RESIN AND TRANSPARENT FILM COMPRISING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/153738
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polycarbonate resin capable of producing a transparent film having excellent temperature stability, unlikely to have defects from foreign objects or air bubbles caused by heat during melt film formation, unlikely to have discoloration of the film, and having small fluctuation in phase-difference even after long periods of use under high-temperature conditions. This polycarbonate resin includes a structural unit derived from a dihydroxy compound indicated by formula (1), a structural unit derived from a dihydroxy compound indicated by formula (2), and a structural unit derived from a dihydroxy compound indicated by one of formulas (3-6). The amount of the structural unit derived from the dihydroxy compound indicated by formulas (3-6) is at least 0.1 wt% but less than 4.5 wt% of the total amount of the structural unit derived from the dihydroxy compound in the polycarbonate resin. HO-R5-OH(3) HO-CH2-R6-CH2-OH (4) H-(O-R7)p-OH(5) HO-R8-OH (6)
