Title:
POLYESTER ELASTOMER DERIVED FROM BIOMASS RESOURCES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/095783
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a polyester elastomer derived from biomass resources, which does not discolor and which can retain the excellent mechanical properties, retention stability, water aging resistance and heat aging resistance exhibited by polyester elastomers derived from fossil fuel resources. A polyester elastomer according to the present invention is configured such that a hard segment comprising a polyester having an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic and/or alicyclic diol as constituent components is bonded to a soft segment comprising an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic polyether as constituent components. The polyester elastomer is characterized in that the aromatic dicarboxylic acid and the aliphatic and/or alicyclic diol are derived from fossil fuel resources, the aliphatic polyether is derived from biomass resources, the polyester elastomer has a biobase degree of 20-85%, and the polyester elastomer has a reduced viscosity of 1.2 dl/g or more.
