Abstract:
The present invention relates to an antitheft apparatus for various kinds of portable electronic devices including a notebook computer. The antitheft apparatus starts the security operation after being connected with a portable electronic device using a USB port, an earphone port, or any other input/output port of the electronic device. If the connection is forcefully released or the electronic device moves, the anththeft apparatus generates an alarm, thereby alerting the user of the attempted theft without any additional device such as a lock.
