Abstract:
Provided are: a production method for a nickel seed crystal that, by the optimization of the amount of hydrazine added when using to hydrazine to manufacture a seed-crystal fine nickel powder, reduces production costs and the environmental burden of nickel powder production, and maintains and improves the quality of the nickel powder at a low cost; and a production method for nickel powder using the nickel seed crystals. The production method for a seed crystal used in the production of hydrogen-reduced nickel powder is characterized in that the seed crystal is generated by 1-1.25 mol. inclusive of hydrazine being added to an acidic solution, which contains nickel ions and has a temperature maintained at 50-60℃ inclusive, per 1 mol. of a nickel component contained in the acidic solution.
