Abstract:
Provided is a technology that can maintain or improve angular resolution via sufficient calibration even when different errors occur depending on the direction of arrival of radio waves. A radar device 1 is provided with: an antenna array 6 that includes a plurality of reception antennas; a reception analog circuit 7 that includes a plurality of reception circuits; a digital circuit (digital unit 3); and a memory 12 in which is housed a plurality of pieces of set calibration data 14 for performing calibration regarding errors occurring in the antenna array 6 and the reception analog circuit 7. The digital circuit estimates and extracts the direction of arrival of radio waves from a target via digital beamforming of a digital signal of a received signal SR that has passed through the reception analog circuit 7, selects a piece of calibration data from among the plurality of pieces of calibration data 14 in accordance with the extracted direction of arrival of the radio waves, uses the selected piece of calibration data to perform calibration processing on the digital signal, and calculates an angle on the basis of the post-calibration-processing signal.
