Abstract:
A rolling bearing 1 comprises an inner race 2, an outer race 4, a plurality of balls 6, and an annular cage 8. The cage 8 is provided with an annular body 10 which is disposed to one side of the plurality of balls 6 in the axial direction, and a plurality of prongs 12 which protrude from the annular body 10 and toward the other side in the axial direction. Spaces between pairs of the plurality of prongs 12 that are adjacent to each other are pockets 14 which hold the plurality of balls 6. Each of the plurality of prongs 12 has a first recess 20 which is recessed with respect to a prong inner peripheral surface 18 and a tip end surface of the prong 12. An inner peripheral part 10b of the annular body 10 has an inner peripheral surface 24 and a plurality of protrusions 26 which are provided at positions along the circumferential direction that correspond to the positions of the first recesses 20 and which protrude with respect to the inner peripheral surface 24. A plurality of tip end parts 26d oriented in the radial direction of the plurality of protrusions 26 each have a tip end surface 26d1 that is slidable with an outer peripheral surface 2b of the inner race 2.
