Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shape-variable electronic device and an operation method thereof and, more specifically, to a shape-variable electronic device including: a substrate having a cell region; a light source unit on the cell region; and a flexible layer provided vertically spaced apart from the light source unit. The flexible layer includes an actuator unit that changes the shape of the flexible layer, and the actuator unit includes: a light-heat response unit configured to receive light emitted from the light source unit and to emit thermal energy; a deformation unit configured to receive the thermal energy from the light-heat response unit and to reduce mechanical rigidity thereof; and lower and upper electrodes provided on opposite sides of the deformation unit, respectively.
