Provided is a stator that dramatically improves the evacuation performance of a pump and sufficiently ensures safe rotation even with dramatically reduced clearance between said stator and a screw rotor in comparison to conventional stators. The base of this stator (106) is a substrate comprising a metal such as stainless steel processed for stator use, and a PFA film is provided on the inside wall (203) of said substrate, which faces the tip surfaces (201) of the teeth of the screw rotor. The formation of the PFA film by means of melting and remelting processes after the application of PFA to the inside wall (203) results in a highly smooth free surface. This stator is disposed so as to leave a gap between the inside wall (203) of the stator (106) and the tip surfaces (201) of the teeth of a screw-tooth groove part (103). The provision of this PFA film as prescribed further reduces the width of the gap between the tip surfaces (201) and the free surface of the PFA film on the inside wall (203) in comparison to conventional stators.
