Abstract:
A steering wheel angle control device 23 controls, with respect to a steering drive device provided with: a motor that drives an input shaft for inputting a steering wheel angle being a rotation angle, to a steering system of a vehicle, by giving deflection angles to wheels of the vehicle; and an angle sensor that detects the steering wheel angle of the input shaft as the measurement angle, the motor such that the measurement angle tracks a target angle. The steering wheel angle control device 23 is characterized by being provided with: a measurement angle acquisition unit 232 that acquires the measurement angle by the angle sensor; an angular speed output unit 234 that outputs an angular speed to the motor as an instruction angular speed; an angular speed calculation unit 233 that calculates an angular speed based on the acquired measurement angle, as a measurement angular speed; and an angular speed determination unit 236 that determines whether or not the absolute value of a difference between the instruction angular speed and the measurement angular speed is greater than or equal to a first threshold value set in advance, wherein, when it is determined that the absolute value of the difference is greater than or equal to the first threshold value, the angular speed output unit 233 stops control of the motor.
