Abstract:
The invention relates to a support (22) for a stop (24) of the front hood of a motor vehicle. The front hood is pressed against the stop (24) when in a closed position. The support (22) gives way when the hood undergoes substantially vertical stress exceeding a predetermined threshold, corresponding to the stress generated by a pedestrian impact. The invention also relates to a front hood support. The invention further relates to any part (16) of a motor vehicle provided with said support (22), particularly a technical front surface cross-member (16), a bumper reinforcement (12) and a bumper skin (14).
