Title:
TUNGSTEN BASED SINTERED MATERIAL HAVING HIGH STRENGTH AND HIGH HARDNESS AND MOLD FOR HOT PRESS MOLDING OF OPTICAL GLASS LENS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/085486
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A W based sintered material which is composed of 0.2 to 1.5 % of Ni and 0.1 to 1 % of Y2O3, and optionally, (a) 0.05 to 0.5 % of VC and/or (b) 0.01 to 0.5 % of Co and/or Fe, the balance being W, wherein w phases form a sintering boding with one another and Ni phases or Ni-Co/Fe alloy phases and Y2O3 phases are dispersed and distributed along boundaries of the above W phases and wherein the above W phase has a maximum particle diameter of 30 μm or less. The above W based sintered material is suitable for use as a mold for the hot press molding of an optical glass lens.
