An ultrasonograph for acquiring information inside a subject for imaging, by transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves by an ultrasonic probe (11). It is equipped with image generating means (12-14) for generating ultrasonic image data from echo signals acquired by the ultrasonic probe (11), a storage processing request issuing means (21) for accepting a storage instruction of the ultrasonic image from an operator and issuing a storage processing request in response to the storage instruction, a queuing means (22) for registering the storage processing request and the ultrasonic image data to be stored in correlation in a queue (24) and also retrieving the storage processing request and the ultrasonic image data registered in the queue (24) in the registered order for sending to image storage means (23,17) mentioned below, and the image storage means (23,17) for storing the ultrasonic image data in a predetermined recording medium according to the storage processing request. Thus, operability in successively storing a plurality of ultrasonic images when storing them can be improved.
