Abstract:
According to the present invention, a ballast tank (11) and an air storage tank (31) are provided to a pod (2) of an ocean current power generation device (1) representing an underwater-float-type underwater device. When water is to be discharged from the ballast tank (11), a water discharge valve (23) is opened, and a water discharge pump (21) is driven, whereby the water in the ballast tank (11) is discharged to the exterior through a water channel (20). When water is to be injected into the ballast tank (11), a water injection valve (25) is opened in a state in which the water pressure outside the pod is greater than the water pressure in the ballast tank (11), whereby water is channeled from outside the pod (2) through an opening (24) into the ballast tank (11) via the water channel (20). This underwater device makes it possible to repeatedly perform fine adjustment of the buoyancy generated by the ballast tank (11).
