Abstract:
This vehicle monitoring system comprises: a subsystem that controls one or more devices installed in a railway vehicle and that performs a predetermined function; and a monitor device that monitors the operation state of the subsystem. The subsystem includes: a subsystem control device that produces, on the basis of a signal output from a device, status data including event information items for notifying a change in the state of the device to the monitor device, and that periodically transmits the status data to the monitor device; and a first memory that stores a first event parameter file defining the data structure of an event region, which is a region for storing the event information items of the status data. If the first event parameter file stored in the first memory has been modified, the subsystem control device, when producing the status data, reconstructs the data structure of the event region on the basis of the modified first event parameter file, and resets each event information item according to the reconstructed data structure.
