Abstract:
A video compression method by a video compression device, including: a step for extracting a region of interest that includes one of a plurality of objects of interest from each image constituting a video; a step for determining the image quality of the region of interest on the basis of the priority of the object of interest that is included in the extracted region of interest and the available bandwidth of a transmission path; a step for compressing the video on the basis of the determined image quality of the region of interest; and a step for transmitting the compressed video to the outside of the video compression device via the transmission path.
