Abstract:
 Provided is a method for preventing peeling of molten slag and solid phase slag in a wet bottom furnace, in order to protect the furnace wall. In this wet bottom furnace, a ceramic film (11) having a contact angle of 90 degrees or less with respect to molten slag is formed on a furnace wall (10) that contacts molten slag, the thickness of the ceramic film (11) being 5 to 1,000 μm, inclusive. Optionally, a middle layer is further provided between the furnace wall (10) and the ceramic film (11), the relationship of the materials of the middle layer and the ceramic film (11) being such that the thermal expansion coefficient decreases in stepwise fashion from the furnace wall (10) side towards the ceramic film (11) side.
