Abstract:
In a thermal wind-speed meter, a thermal wind-speed sensor is used in which the amount of heat dissipation varies, with dependence on the wind speed, when thermal wind-speed sensor is energized by an electric current and heated, and wind speed can be measured on the basis of the variation in the amount of heat dissipation. This wind speed meter has an atmospheric pressure sensor (26) for measuring atmospheric pressure mounted inside a case (12) of the main body (10) of the wind speed meter. Wind speed values measured by the thermal wind-speed meter are corrected, displayed, and maintained on the basis of the atmospheric pressure. It is thereby possible to obtain accurate wind speed values that have been corrected on the basis of the atmospheric pressure in the measured location.
