Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of erroneous detection of a size disagreement error even if a sheet set in a paper feed cassette has a curling tendency.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a display panel; a paper feed unit including a paper feed cassette; a conveyance unit for conveying a sheet; an image forming unit; a sheet sensor in which the level of an output value changes according to the rotation amount of an actuator pressed by the conveyed sheet and rotating; a curling tendency sensor; and a control unit. The control unit recognizes the arrival and passage of the sheet to an installation position of the sheet sensor. The control unit detects size disagreement of the sheet on the basis of the time from the arrival recognition to the passage recognition of the sheet. The control unit determines whether or not the sheet has a curling tendency in a direction in which the recognition timing of the sheet passage becomes earlier. When the sheet has the curling tendency, the control section performs a warning display.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
