Abstract:
To appropriately perform the steering control.SOLUTION: A steering control device 10 includes a distance calculation unit 121 calculating a distance between a forward gazing point on a straight line extending ahead of a vehicle from a center of the vehicle and a center line showing a center of a lane on which the vehicle is traveling, a steering angle detection unit 122 detecting a steering angle of the vehicle, and a steering control unit 124 making a motor 4 for performing steering assistance of a vehicle perform the steering assistance based on an angle formed between a lene and the straight line extending ahead of the vehicle when the calculated distance is larger than a predetermined distance and making the motor 4 perform the steering assistance so as to fix the steering angle when the calculated distance is a predetermined distance or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
