Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote urban refuse disposal to effectively utilizing disposed products. SOLUTION: Carbonization equipment comprises a combustion furnace 1 coaxially provided with a larger diameter cylindrical combustion chamber 1a and a smaller diameter cylindrical flue 1b successively and an opening 1c for an exhaust gas at the end of the flue 1b, a screw conveyer 3 passing through a carbonization cylinder 2 over its entire length in the axial direction of this combustion furnace 1, a carbonization gas collecting portion 2a in the form of a reverse channel in which a carbonization gas from combustible substances gathers and which is formed in the shape of a bulge in the flue 1a and upstream of the projected portion of the combustion chamber 1a in the carbonization cylinder 2, a passage 4 for supplying the carbonization gas which communicates the carbonization gas collecting portion 2a to the combustion chamber 1a and further, a hopper 5 for feeding a carbonization feedstock upstream of a projected portion at the flue 1b side, a passage 6 for discharging a carbonized product downstream of the projected end portion at the combustion chamber 1a, and a water vessel 7 for receiving the carbonized product in which the end of the passage 6 for discharging the carbonized product is opened in water.
