To provide an electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of securing electrical conductivity in the electrode mix, capable of restricting an increase of resistance inside the battery when using in the high-temperature surroundings, and having excellent heavy load discharge characteristic, and to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same.
This electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is formed by coating a collector with the electrode mix containing an electrode active material, a conductive material, fiber type carbon and a binder. The electrode active material is used for a positive electrode active material. The electrode mix is used for the positive electrode mix, and contains the conductive material and the fiber type carbon at a rate of 10 % or less in relation to the total. Mixture ratio of the lithium/manganese compound oxide and the lithium compound oxide contained in the positive electrode mix is set at 99:1-5:95. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and the non-aqueous electrolyte, and contains the positive electrode active material, the conductive material and the fiber type carbon in the positive electrode.
