Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily perform a timing control operation and to make an amplification means small-sized by providing the following: a first timing control means; a second timing control means used to control the amplification timing operation of an electric signal so as to be synchronized with an excitation timing operation; and an oscillator used to control the first and second timing control means.

CONSTITUTION: A laser stimulation source 2OA radiates an stimulation laser beam L0 under the control of a first delay circuit 61 as a first timing control means which is driven by an oscillator 40; a laser oscillator 10 is pulse-oscillated. A power amplifier 32 is timing-controlled by a second delay circuit 62 as a second timing control means which is driven by the oscillator 40. A laser beam L2 which has been frequency-swept is passed through a laser amplification medium 51 which has been excited by an excitation source 52 for amplification use; it is amplified; it is radiated as a final laser beam L3. Thereby, it is possible to obtain a frequency-sweep laser apparatus whose timing operation is controlled easily and whose amplification means has been made small-sized.
