Abstract:
To provide a jig for quenching a helical gear material and a method for manufacturing the helical gear material capable of simultaneously cooling a plurality of annular helical gear materials while suppressing the occurrence of distortion.SOLUTION: Multiple jigs 30 are used to cool the helical gear material 100 in the oil while being hung on a support member 106. When the helical gear material 100 are cooled in the oil, the multiple jigs 30 and the multiple helical gear materials 100 are arranged alternately in the longitudinal direction of the support member 106. The jigs 30 include multiple deformation regulating portions 32 which are arranged at a distance from each other and which can come into contact with side surfaces of the helical gear material 100, and a holding portion 34 for holding the multiple deformation regulating portions 32. The multiple regulating portions 32 may contact the side surfaces of the helical gear material 100 at four points or more. The 4 points are arranged at intervals of 90° in the circumferential direction of the helical gear material 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
