To provide an abnormalities diagnostic method based on acoustic signals allowing to diagnose the occurrence of abnormalities which cannot be detected by conventional methods.
Acoustic signals obtained from an object to be diagnosed are subjected to frequency analysis to determine a relative sound pressure difference at the time of diagnosis on the basis of the relationship between each frequency or frequency band and sound pressure. When a relative sound pressure difference at the time of diagnosis for each frequency or each frequency band deviates from a range defined by an abnormalities judging sound pressure difference upper threshold and an abnormalities judging sound pressure difference lower threshold for each frequency or each frequency band, the object to be diagnosed is diagnosed with the occurrence of abnormalities.
