To provide a material constitution which ensures stable hermetic sealing without electrical shorts between a barrier layer of a facing package and an electrode tab by the heat and pressure of heat-sealing, when, in lithium cell packaging, a lithium cell body is encased in the package having a heat- sealing layer of polyethylene, and the rim of the package is hermetically heat- sealed.
The facing package material of the lithium cell body comprises a base layer, an adhesive layer, an aluminum layer, a conversion-coated layers, and the heat-sealing layer of polyolefin resin. On the electrode tab of the lithium cell, and between the tab and the package, intervenes an adhesive film which comprises an extrusion laminated film composed of an electron beam crosslinked polyolefin film and an acid-modified polyolefin film adhering to the tab, further wherein the electron beam crosslinked polyolefin film is of polyethylene or polypropylene.
