Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize a small altitude meter with switchable resolutions and measuring ranges, by measuring a air pressure with a semiconductor pressure sensor to obtain altitude information from the measured air pressure based on a zero point and resolutions preset. CONSTITUTION:An air pressure value measured with a semiconductor pressure sensor 1 is inputted into a zero point adjusting circuit 2 to set a measuring start altitude above sea level at zero by a zero-point adjustment as set with a zero point adjuster 3. A range selector 4 is operated to select a measuring altitude range. After amplified with a voltage amplifier 5, the measured air pressure subjected to the zero point adjustment and a range setting is converted with an A/D converter (altitude information converting means) 6 into altitude information to be shown on a display device 8. A resolutions selector 7 controls the A/D converter 6 to switch resolutions to a specified value.
