Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveyance facility capable of the transfer of an article smoothly by a transfer device while preventing the fall of the article from the transfer device.SOLUTION: An article conveyance facility comprises: a lifting body 14 for rising and lowering along a vertical direction; and a transfer device 15 supported by the lifting body 14 for transferring an article W between itself and a transfer object portion. The transfer device 15 is equipped with a support member 17 for moving back and forth, while carrying and supporting the article W, to a protrusion position and a retraction position. The support member 17 is constituted to include a support member 9 which is elastically deformable in the vertical direction thereby to place and support the article W on said support member 9. The lifting body 14 is equipped with a buffer 29 such that the buffer is spaced upward by a set distance with respect to the article W placed on and supported by the support member 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
