Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asphalt composition enabling high strength and durability to be secured even for thin layer type permeable paving formed using an aggregate with small particle diameter.SOLUTION: The asphalt composition containing a base asphalt and a styrene-butadiene-styrene-block copolymer (SBS) of 13 wt.% to 15 wt.% is provided in which: the SBS is a mixture of a first SBS and a second SBS having shorter molecular length than that of the first SBS and high styrene percentage content; the molecular length in the first SBS is set to be 1.8 times or more the molecule length in the second SBS; LS2/LS1 is 0.7 to 1.4 where LS1 is a styrene block length in the first SBS and LS2 is a styrene block length in the second SBS; and added amount of the first SBS/the added amount of the second SBS is 0.25 to 1.00.SELECTED DRAWING: None
