PURPOSE: To improve degree of freedom of design for an instrument panel and a vehicle body and simplify a setting jig by inserting the instrument panel in supported condition from the lower part through the opening part of the body and assembling.
CONSTITUTION: At positioning an instrument panel A on a setting jig 5, while positioning the brackets (a2) with first pins 17 and the lower end with second pins 21 from the lower part, the upper end is pressed with a pressing cylinder 23 from the upper part. The instrument panel A is inserted in a vehicle body C through a front window opening part, rotationally moved centering around the lower end to insert a third pin 27 into a first positioning hole (c4) and fourth pins (c5) into second positioning holes (a6), positioned to the body C, and hereafter the brackets (a2) are tightened to the body C.
