Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method capable of automatically scanning chassises and tote devices on conveyors arranged in parallel to align and stack them, and transmit them to an assembling area by a single conveyor, and of reducing the number of required operators.
SOLUTION: An automated integrating station is provided with a first conveyor 12 for conveying chassises 16 having first labels, a second conveyor 14 for conveying totes 18 having second labels, on which sub-assembles are mounted, a pair of label readers 24a, 24b for reading the labels of the chassises 16 and the labels of the totes 18 respectively, a decoder 26 for receiving and comparing signals from the respective label readers 24a, 24b, and a gripper 34 which is energized by output generated by the aligning indicated by comparison of the signals to arrange the chassises 16 and the totes 18 on a single conveyor.
