Abstract:
Provided is a magnetic fluid sealed bearing unit (1, 1A) that provides excellent handling ease and workability in incorporating the bearing unit (1, 1A) into a rotary shaft portion and exhibits a stable sealing capability. A magnetic fluid sealed bearing unit (1, 1A) of the present invention has an inner ring (3) and an outer ring (5), each made of a magnetic material, a plurality of rolling members (7) interposed between the inner ring (3) and the outer ring (5), a magnetic seal mechanism (10) arranged between the inner ring (3) and the outer ring (5) and configured to inhibit entry of foreign substances toward the plurality of rolling members (7), a non-magnetic inner ring-side support member (30) fitted and retained inside the inner ring (3), and a non-magnetic outer ring-side support member (40) fitted and retained outside the outer ring (5).
