PURPOSE: To obtain new bezophenone derivatives having sufficient acceptability to mammals, fish and plants which are effective for protection from attack by pests.
CONSTITUTION: Compounds of the formula where (o) and (p) are each 0-5; R1 and R2 are each a 1-4C (halo)alkyl, 1-4C (halo)alkoxy, 1-4C (halo)alkylthio, halogen, OH, NO2, CN, phenoxy, -O-S(=O)=R8 [R8 is a 1-8C (halo)alkyl] or the like; R3 is H, a halogen, OH, SH, 1-4C alkyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, NR4R5 (R4 and R5 are each H, a 1-4C alkyl or OH) or the like; R6 is an OR9 or S(O)nR10, R9 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl or the like; R10 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, phenyl or the like) or the like; R7 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, aryl or the like}, such as 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-hydroxy-5-methyl-6-oxa-2,3,5-triaza-1-(4- trifluoromethanesulfonyloxyphenyl)-hepta-1,3-diene, are provided.
