Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a biodegradable fiber aggregate for agricultural use, slowly decomposing in natural environment to final disappearance and, accordingly, free from the problems of atmospheric pollution by incineration and environmental disruption by disposal.
CONSTITUTION: The biodegradable fiber aggregate for agricultural use is composed mainly of an aliphatic polyester containing the unit of the formula O- CHR-CO (R is H or 1-3C alkyl) as main recurring unit. Since the fiber aggregate for agricultural use has excellent biodegradability and good physical properties, it does not cause the atmospheric pollution by incineration and the environmental disruption by disposal to contribute much to the industry and the environmental protection.
