Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a blood circulation assisting device which can assist the blood circulation of the circulation organ systems and with which the pressure drop is small by providing a suction port or discharge port in the specific size position of an operator side direction from the discharge port or suction port at the front of a catheter, providing a check value between the discharge port and the suction port, and then, providing the specific blood feeding means.
CONSTITUTION: The catheter 1 has the discharge port 2 at the front end and is provided with a check valve 5 in a blood passage 4 in the position of the operator side direction from the discharge port 2. Further, the catheter wall in the position within 40cm in the operator side direction from the discharge port 2 is provided with the suction port 3. A balloon 6 is mounted to the inside wall of the catheter in the operator side direction from the discharge port 2 between the check valve 5 and the suction port 3. A gaseous oxygen passage 7 for inflating the balloon is extended to the operator side part on the inside wall of the catheter 1 and the balloon 6 is inflated by blowing the gaseous oxygen into the gaseous oxygen passage 7 for inflating the balloon. A negative pressure is generated in the blood passage 4 and the blood is sucked into the blood passage 4 from the suction port 3 when the balloon 6 contracts from the inflating state.
