Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare a molding material excellent in impact strength, rigidity, coatability, and weatherability by compounding a thermoplastic resin compsn. mainly comprising a specific rubber-reinforced resin and a polyolefin with a specified amt. of a fibrous reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:A radial-polymerizable monomer component is graft copolymerized in the presence of a hydrogenated diene polymer obtd. by hydrogenating a (co)polymer comprising 0-60wt.% arom. vinyl compd. and 100-40wt.% conjugated diene to give a rubber-reinforced resin. 5-95 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin compsn. mainly comprising 1-100wt.% said reinforced resin and 99-0wt.% polyolefin is compounded with 95-5 pts.wt. fibrous reinforcement to give a molding material. As the arom. vinyl compd., styrene and alpha-methylstyrene esp. pref.; 1,3-butadiene is an esp. pref. conjugated diene. In the hydrogenated diene polymer, pref. at least 65% of double bonds in the conjugated diene parts are hydrogenated. Examples of the radical-polymerizable monomer are an arom. vinyl compd., a vinyl cyanide compd., and a (meth)acrylic ester.
